Description:

Africa has lived in the culture of Cartagena. Since the legacy that this continent left us is still alive in each of the traditions of this city, our dances are rooted in the African sounds that have transcended generations and that will be one of the eternal legacies and the greatest treasure that Africa left us.

To experience the ancestral art of the drums we will go to the fishing village of La Boquilla. Here, we will meet our native friends who will help us learn and enjoy this dance. We will take our classes, learning the basic strokes of the tambor alegre, and playing the Colombian cumbia learning the greatest African legacy.
